Just Ours is operated by Sam Talbot, trading as Just Ours. For the purposes of UK data-protection law, Sam Talbot is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Just Ours, we may collect:
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, username and sign-in details.
- Profile information: your chosen profile photograph and username.
- Content: photographs, captions, comments and reactions you choose to share.
- Group information: the groups you create or join, membership records and invite codes.
- Safety information: reports, blocks and information supplied when reporting content.
- Notification information: device and push-subscription identifiers used to deliver notifications.
- Technical information: limited service, diagnostic, security and request data generated when the app communicates with our service providers.
3. How and why we use information
- To create and secure your account.
- To provide private groups and show content to the people you select.
- To send notifications you have enabled.
- To prevent misuse, investigate reports and enforce our Community Guidelines.
- To maintain, troubleshoot and improve the reliability of Just Ours.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
Our principal legal bases are performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Who receives information
We do not sell personal information and Just Ours does not contain third-party advertising. We use specialist providers to operate the service:
- Supabase for authentication, database services and file storage.
- OneSignal for push notifications.
- Apple where you choose Sign in with Apple or receive notifications through Apple services.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a legitimate transfer of the service subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. International processing
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
6. How long we keep information
We retain account information and shared content while your account remains active. You can delete individual posts and comments in the app. You can also permanently delete your account from Profile, which removes your profile, posts, comments, reactions and group memberships from our active service. Limited security, legal or backup records may remain temporarily where reasonably necessary.
7. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile photograph, manage notifications, block accounts, delete content and delete your account within the app. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive a portable copy of certain information.
To exercise a right, email support@justours.io. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Children
Just Ours accounts are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect your invite codes.
10. Complaints and updates
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy as Just Ours develops. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and the effective date above will be revised.
